As part of an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract, MULTATECH provided architectural services for a 64,150 square foot design/build renovation. The function of Building 4210 is a reserve facility for the United States Marine Corps, providing vehicle maintenance, supply and storage, medical, classrooms, administration, exercise, toilets and showers, and support systems.
The project involved demolition, renovation and new construction for repairs and modernizations, including asbestos abatement, new exterior doors and Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (ATFP) windows, interior painting, new floor finishes, restroom plumbing upgrades, HVAC renovations, minor electrical work, fire alarm upgrades, as well as other various upgrades.
MULTATECH’s design services included an as-built survey to verify and create architectural plans in AutoCAD. We coordinated the architectural design with: the contractor's consultants for MEP, fire protection and asbestos abatement; structural engineering consultants for large overhead door openings; and provided construction design and drawing preparation and related consultant coordination. We worked closely with SMR, the contractor for the project, and the consultants to assemble design documents from the entire team for 60% and 100% review, as well as final design.
MULTATECH was sub-consultant for SMR Construction.
