MULTATECH provided services for this turnkey design/build project in cooperation with TXU Energy Services and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center for a 13MW emergency/peak shaving generator facility serving the South Campus. The design included four 3.4MW natural gas engine/generators complete with all ancillary mechanical and electrical equipment required to serve the South Campus in either an emergency or peak shaving capacity. We were responsible for complete design, including structural, mechanical, electrical, and controls, design/build plans and specs. The project was fast-track and involved specifying and evaluating bids for pre-purchase with long lead-time items, including generators. MULTATECH was the prime consultant approving all project management and MEP services. In addition, we provided services during the construction administration phase to verify contractor conformance to the design.
