The Love Field Modernization Program (LFMP) includes the design and construction of all of the facilities, infrastructure systems and equipment for the operation of the modernized Terminal/Concourse Complex at the Love Field Airport, including the terminal building, aircraft parking apron, fueling system, baggage handling systems, roadways and terminal curbside, and other supporting infrastructure encompassed within the LFMP Elements.
MULTATECH is providing mechanical, electrical and plumbing design as a sub-consultant to Corgan, and Project Management services for Southwest Airlines to oversee and prepare demolition/make ready/renovation drawings and specifications of existing utility systems to allow for the phased construction of a completely new airport terminal facility. Disciplines involved include architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and detection, public address systems and telecommunications. Construction Administration services provided include the MEP systems on the overall LFMP project.
Southwest Airlines construction needs consist of a portion of the LFMP pertaining to the new terminal concourse and other airport facilities including: relocation of airlines, various City departments, and other tenants as needed; installation of airline equipment; development of new and renovated terminal facilities including a new ticketing wing, renovation of the existing main lobby, expansion and renovation of the existing baggage claim wing; the phased construction of a new concourse with 20 gates; associated demolition of existing facilities and gates; and distribution of primary utilities from the central utility plant to the new terminal/concourse facility.
Additional design projects we have fulfilled include an upgrade to the existing central utility plant, relocation of two existing airfield electrical vaults to accommodate terminal expansion, expansion of a lower-level departure roadway and an upper-level arrival roadway, and construction of a new remote central receiving facility.
