Shannon has over 21 years of experience working on a wide variety of projects with a diverse range of clients including commercial, institutional, private, municipal and sustainable facilities. She has extensive experience with educational institutions including early childhood, K-12 and higher education facilities. As senior architect of MULTATECH's growing Kansas City office, Pollard hopes to diversify and expand the organization's outreach, delivering cost-effective, sustainable design solutions to meet clients' needs and expectations.
As designer and project architect of Raymore-Peculiar (MO) School District's East Middle School (the first middle school to achieve a LEED Gold rating in Missouri), Pollard received the 2011 Design-Build and Integrated Team Award from the Design-Build Institute of America as well as a Capstone Team Award from the Kansas City Business Journal for sustainable design. An active volunteer and supporter of non-profits, Shannon is involved with Engineering Ministries International (EMI), a non-profit Christian development organization made up of architects, engineers and other design professionals who donate their skills to help children and families across the world step out of poverty.
Shannon earned a Bachelor of Architecture from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, OK and is a member of the American Institute of Architects and Green Building Council. She is also owner/designer of DesignKids Habitat, an ETSY Shop with patterns for playhouses and projects with sustainable materials.
